Each year, some students are selected for verification by the US Department of Education. Verification is completed by the financial aid office. A counselor reviews the information you turn in and, if necessary, makes changes to your FAFSA and sends those changes to the FAFSA processor. FAFSA changes can reduce or increase your eligibilty for grant, work study, and loan programs.
We may also require a statement on income if it appears to be low.
If your FAFSA is selected for verification, you must send these documents to the Financial Aid Office at Eastern Oregon University. Our fax number is: (541) 962-3661, or you can mail them to:
Eastern Oregon University
Financial Aid Office
One University Boulevard
La Grande, OR 97850
You may also check in Webster to determine if we have received your verification document.

Remember, your financial aid award will not be final until verification is complete. If your estimated award changes after verificaton has been completed, we will notify you that your award has changed.
